June 15, 2010 An earthquake struck southern California on Monday night (21:26 PDT) and momentarily stopped the game between the Toronto Blue Jays and San Diego Padres in Petco Park stadium (downtown San Diego)
According to the US Geological Survey the quake had a magnitude of 5.7 and the epicenter was about 5 miles southeast of Ocotillo CA, near the Mexican border (Epicenter's location 32.698°N, 115.924°W, depth 4.3 miles).
Three small to moderate eathquakes had previously been recorded in this area in less than 14 hours, the third one at 9:44 AM with a magnitude of 3.0, approximately 12 hours before the main tremor.
The quake was felt from Los Angeles to Yuma where it shook buildings, but there are no reports of casualties or damages.
